Volunteer Opportunities

Ingleside Homes, Inc. offers volunteer opportunities for those of all ages and experience. Whether your interest lies in helping with programs from time to time, or hosting activities, creative arts or clerical assistance, please contact Debbie Coates, Director of Downs Cultural Center and Activities, at (302)-575-0250 x2244.

Volunteer Services

Volunteers are needed to welcome members of the community to the Downs Center and to assist audience members to and from their seats.  Volunteers are also needed as hosts during receptions which follow each event. 

Additionally, volunteer opportunities are available to assist staff members during events such as cocktail parties, banquets, family picnics, bus outings and special fundraising campaigns.

 

In-House Activities

Volunteers are needed to host activities for residents such as games, creative arts, educational discussions, exercise programs, and computer training sessions. Volunteers are also needed for special events and seniors bus trips.

 

General Clerical

Volunteers needed to assist with generating documents, special event request forms, filing, activity calendar distribution, and general clerical procedures.

 

Dining Services

Volunteers assist seniors in getting to their table, and providing table service during mealtimes.
